Call Letter for Final Medical Examination for Enrolment in The Indian Coast Guard - Important Information

Final Enrolment Medical Examination - Initial Medical Examination for Recruitment will be considered only 'Provisionally fit subject to fitness in the final medical examination' Final Medical Examination of all selected candidates in Navik GD, DB & Yantriks will be done at INS Chilka. Candidates, who are NOT found medically fit in the final medical examination at INS Chilka, will NOT be enrolled for Final  Fraining. 'An Appeal' is permitted for Medically unfit Candidates after the final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka, Odisha and will be given an opportunity to appeal against the findings if they so desire at INS Kalyani, Visakhapatnam within a Maximum Period of 21  Days or as decided by INS Chilka.

• Indian Coast Guard inform you that you have been provisionally selected for recruitment in the ICG for Navik GD, DB (Cook, Steward) & Yantriks Feb or Aug, **** batch. Your enrolment will be subject to your clearing the final medical examination and various tests (Screening, Entry Behavior test etc) being conducted for the particular entry as applicable, on arrival at INS Chilka.
• You are to report to the Recruiting Office, INS Chilka, Indian Navy & Coast Guard Sailors Traning Center on Particular Date and time. (Mention in your Joining Latter) 
• Your present selection will stand cancelled and you will have no claim for enrolment in the Indian Coast Guard, on any of the following grounds and Reasons -
  (a) If you are found medically unfit.
  (b) In case you fail to report on the date and time.
  (c) Failure to bring with you the documents/ items mentioned in the joining instructions.
  (d) Particulars not matching with the information provided in the Original Documents
• Your basic training at INS Chilka will cover the following Points
  (a) Academic and service subjects.
  (b) Sports Activities.
  (c) Outdoor training such as Parade Training, Sailing, Boat Pulling, Swimming,etc.
  (d) Service oriented activities including maintenance of equipment, living spaces, training areas etc.
• Training - The Basic Training will Commence in Aug & Feb Batches at INS Chilka followed by Sea training and Professional training in the allotted trade. Branch / trade will be allocated as per the requirement of service and performance during basic training. Naviks are liable to be discharged as UNSUITABLE due to unsatisfactory Performance at any time during the training.
• During your training period and thereafter, you will be entitled to full pay and allowances, free uniforms, food and accommodation. On completion of training you will be entitled to the laid down services and benefits as provided for, in the regulations. Your service conditions will be governed by current orders.
