Short Information - The Indian Navy Marine Commandos MARCOS is the Special Force Unit (SF) Established in 1987 Created for Conducting Special Operations in the Maritime Environment. They were the first Respond to the 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attack. Recently, a new Indian naval base, INS Karna was commissioned as a Marine Commando  MARCOS Base and wholly dedicated to the MARCOS for their Professional Special Forces Training.

  1. Join Indian Navy Sailors Post of Senior Secondary Recruitment SSR Post 
  2. Join Indian Navy Sailors Post of Matric Recruits (Chef, Steward, Hygienist) Post.
  3. Join MARCOS after Graduate Lavel Officers Post through INET Examination


Eligiblity

  1. Join Indian Navy after 12th Pass SSR Post - Qualified 10+2 (12th) Examination with Physics and Maths and at list one of this Subject Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science From the Boards of Education Recognised by the Government of India (For More Information - Click Here)

Selection Process - 

Candidates will generally go through four phases to become a Fully Qualified Marine Commandos MARCOS, which Include Only for Indian Navy Sailors (SSR) and Officers Candidates.

  1. Phase I - Pre Selection
  2. Phase II - Selection
  3. Phase III - Initial Qualification Training (Special Force Training)
  4. Phase IV - Advance Special Force Training SF


The men Candidates who are selected to be a Marine Commando MARCOS are almost the fittest officers and sailors of the Indian Navy

Candidates are selected when they are young, in early 20s and have to go through a very stringent selection process and training of Special Forces SF

All Marine Commandos are hence qualified for a HAHO (High Altitude High Opening) and HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) JUMP.
