Indian Navy SSB Interview


1. Reporting Day - Day 0
  • Selected Candidates are to report at the concerned Railway Station at the reporting date and time mentioned in candidates Admit cum call up letter.
  • A representative (Officers) from the SSB will be present at the railway station for reception.
  • In case of any difficulty, contact the Bhopal, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam  and Kolkata railway station.
  • Reporting Day - Document Verification take Place after that where the original documents of the candidates are Verified

2. SSB Day 1st - Screening Test
  • Officers Intelligence Rating Test - The First day Involves officers Intelligence Test which consist of Verbal & Non Verbal Test. The Selected Candidaates gets two booklets have 40 Questions each and timing alloted for each book is 15 minutes.
  • Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP & DT)
  • The Result are declare in Ending of the day and shortlisted candidates are retained for the subsequent round of testing.

3. SSB Day 2nd - Psychology Test
  • On the second day of SSB Conduct Psychology Test
  • Thermal Apperception Test - Students shows 12 Images including 1 blank Image and they need to write a story on each for four minutes.
  • Situation Reaction Test SRT - Candidates give a bookleate including 60 real live situation and the candidates are required to write their situations.
  • Self Description Test - Candidates write a few paragraphs covering their self description for given context.
  • Word Association Test - The 60 words are display and candidates need to write down sentence in 15 seconds
4. SSB Day 3rd - Group Testing 1st
  • Group Discussion - Discus on Current events or social issues. the discussion usually takes 20-30 Minutes.
  • Group Planing  Exercise
  • Half Group Task
  • Progressive Group Task
5. SSB Day 4th - Group Testing 2nd
  • Lecture - Candidate presented 4 topics and candidates choose one topic and speak 3 minutes.
  • Common Task
  • Final Group Task
  • Personal Interview - Interview are usually related to day 1,2 & 3 everyday experience, work, education, family, hobbies, achivements, etc.
6. SSB Day 5th - Conference
  • Conference - Board Conference is conducted all the officers who assessed the candidates in the previous day are present.the candidates who are board line are given certain situation and then collective decision is take.
