Important Notes for Admit Card - Short listing criteria will be based on higher percentage of Marks in the Qualifying examination and the Qualifying cut off for a particular centre may be  increased More than 55% if more applications with higher (%) are received.

Important Note for Selected Students - You are Advised to take all the Required Documents very carefully to the PSB / FSB interview, Also take Three spare photocopy of each.



Indian Coast Guard Assitant Commandant - Preliminarily Selection Board (PSB) Interview

Preliminary Selection Board - Shortlisted candidates will be called for Preliminary Selection  at  given date and time (Mention in Admit Card) which will consist of Mental Ability Test / Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP & DT). The aptitude test will be in English only and will be objective type.

The preliminary selection Board PSB Test is conducted usually for Two days.


First Day of PSB Interview
  • The first day is the written test, That is Verbal and Non-verbal, Followed by Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT) on the next day depending on the number of candidates Report.
 
 Second Day of PSB Interview
  • Candidates will be Shown a Slides consisting of Seven sections. Total 80 questions is shown on the screen eacC consist of 10 questions, and the last section is composed of 20 questions. So Total there are 80 Questions.
  • Each Questions will have five 5 options, and the Right answer is to be Marked on the OMR sheet within the allotted time approximately (10 to 15 Minutes).
  • Section 1 - This section Contains 10 questions of number series and blood relation. The candidate is required to mark the answer within 60 sec. (Time Alloted - 10 questions for 1 minute each)
  • Section 2 - This section will test your knowledge of the English Language
  • Section 3 -  This section consist of spelling Checking.
  • Section 4 - This section will test Memorise power by the displaying the number of words for 4 sec.
  • Section 5 -  Words will be shown, and the candidate has to form a different word from the Alphabet of the word displayed.
  • Section 6 - Basic questions of reasoning like the Mirror image or Clock wise or Anti - clockwise rotation like questions will be asked
  • Section 7 - In This Section Contain Counting the number of the Alphabets in a given series, Puzzle types Question (Time - 12 questions for 10 seconds each)

After this Section, the candidates Were Shortlisted from this, and they will get a call from (FSB) Final Selection Board Interview at Noida.


Final Selection Board Test (FSB) Interview 

The Candidates who qualify Preliminary Selection will be called for Final Selection Board FSB Interview. The date and venue for Final Selection Board  (FSB) will be uploaded on  Indian Coast Guard Website


The Final selection Board FSB Test is conducted usually for Four days
  • First Day - Psychological Test.
  • Second Day & Third Day - The Next two days for FSB are reserved for GTO test last along with the interview the, Lecture - Candidate presented 4 topics and candidates choose one topic and speak 3 minutes.Common Task Final Group Task Personal Interview - Interview are usually related to day 1,2 & 3 everyday experience, work, education, family, hobbies, Achievement, etc
  • Fourth & Last day - Conference day, Board Conference is conducted all the officers who assessed the candidates in the previous day are present. the candidates who are board line are given certain situation and then collective decision is take.
  • The Final result will be announced after 1-2 Hours.

The selected candidates in PSB & FSB are undergo for the final medical check up, and then final selection is based on merit list.
