3 Ways for Women (Girls) to Join Indian Coast Guard as a Officers Post 

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Appoints women into into officer cadre only 3 Following Positions are offered you

1. Assistant Commandant General Duty GD - (SSA - Women Short Service Appointment)
2. Assistant Commandant Commercial Pilot Licence - (Short Service)
3. Assistant Commandant Law Entry

Educational Qualification for women (Female) Entry is also same as that of the Male candidates. Here are the Complete details. 

Women Entry Eligibility Criteria

1. Assistant Commandant General Duty GD - (SSA - Women Short Service Appointment) 

• Education Qualification - Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s degree from any Recognised university. with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (1st Semester to 8th Semester) and Mathematics and Physics (12th of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with 60% Aggregate)
• Age Limit - Minimum 21 years to Maximum Age Limit 25 years (Age Relaxations - 05 years Relaxation for SC / ST and 03 years for OBC Candidates)
• Medical Standards - Minimum Height - 152 Cm, Weight - Proportionate to the height and weight + 10% acceptable, Chest - 5 Cm expansion, Eye Sight - 6/6 6/9 - Uncorrected without glass & 6/6 6/6 - Corrected with glass.
• SSA Entry - Women Officers are Appointed as Assistant Commandant in General Duty (GD) Post / Branch on Short Service Appointment SSA for a period of 8 years. This tenure is further Extendable up to 10 years and then up to 14 years.

2. Assistant Commandant Commercial Pilot Licence - (Short Service)

• Education Qualification - 12th class pass with 60% Marks in aggregate and should possess current / valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued / validated by DGC - Director General Civil Aviation On the date of submission of Application. 
• Age Limit -  Minimum 19 years to Maximum Age Limit 25 years. (Age Relaxations - 05 years Relaxation for SC / ST and 03 years for OBC Candidates)
• Medical Standards - Minimum Height - 152 Cm, Weight - Proportionate to the height and weight + 10% acceptable, Chest - 5 Cm expansion, Eye Sight - 6/6 6/9 - Uncorrected without glass & 6/6 6/6 - Corrected with glass.

 

3. Assistant Commandant Law Entry

• Education Qualification - A Degree in Law with minimum 60 % marks from a Recognised University. (Three years degree in Law after graduation) or (Five years after 10+2 examination)
• Age Limit - Minimum 21 years to Maximum Age Limit 25 years. (Age Relaxations - 05 years Relaxation for SC / ST and 03 years for OBC Candidates)
• Medical Standards - Minimum Height - 152 Cm, Weight - Proportionate to the height and weight + 10% acceptable, Chest - 5 Cm expansion, Eye Sight - 6/60 6/60 - Uncorrected without glass & 6/6 6/12 - Corrected with glass.
